The journey started the hot summer of 2011, when Oscar left Miami and moved to Skopje in order to collaborate with Toni and his current groups. No more a big bad ocean apart, they already performed at several festivals, toured Central Europe and are moving into a studio to work on a new album. It’s a long term adventure. The mutual admiration was born while both were involved in Miami based project entitled Lagrimas Negras. Who’s to say if it was decided or predestined? Music speaks for itself, and these two cats have got nostalgia only for the future.
Jointly, between two of them, they are about one hundred years old, Have seventy years of experience on stage, played everywhere and with everybody, recorded uncountable songs, wrote a lot of music. Best of all, they share the same musical taste.
Oscar brings in his Afro-Cuban heritage, Toni has lately been deeply involved in the world of Gypsy Music. So Oscar gave a working title to the whole thing – Afro-Gitano!
